- Joint distortion and contusion
- Prolonged joint immobilization
- Synovectomies
- Burns
- Joint arthroplasty
- Passive mobilization of the following fractures repaired through open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF).
- Malleolar fractures
- Distal tibia fractures
- Talus fractures
- Calcaneal fractures
- Passive mobilization of the ankle after conservative treatment of lesions
- Surgical lengthening of the Achilles tendon due to post-trauma stiffness
