The Kinetec* 8080* Hand & Wrist CPM machine provides pronation/supination of the wrist, and flexion/extension for the fingers, thumb and wrist.
It allows simultaneous motion of the three phalanges, matching the physiological spiral of flexion, and it's the only CPM machine capable of forming a true composite fist.

Indications
Immediate post-operative application of CPM therapy helps prevent joint stiffness, soft tissue contractures and muscle atrophy in these cases:
- Flexor and extensor tenolysis
- Aponeurectomies for Dupuytrens disease
- Metacarpophangeal arthrolysis
- Open reduction-internal fixation of intra-articular, diaphyseal, metaphyseal, epiphyseal fractures of the phalanges
- Prosthetic replacement of the MP, PIP, and DIP joints
- Rheumatoidal-Neurological or after-burn stiffness
- Capsulotomies, arthrolysis and tenolysis for post-traumatic stiffness of MP, PIP, and DIP joints
- Synovectomies
Contraindications / Precautions
- Not to be used in the presence of untreated or uncontrolled infection, unstable fractures or spastic paralysis
